Imaging methods
Optical measuremet techniques are often used with background illuimnation. Here the shadow of the object is recored by mans of a camera. The so called shadowgraphy is a standard technique but it can be extend by using fluorescent particles (solvents). Then mixing of droplets or masstransfer from one phase to another can be analysed.
